Marcie;
Just today (August 26 on computer), I ran across the "planting of the prairie garden," photos, then--and now! That was a nice experience. I have pointed our prairie to people. Many still don't know it's there. I will continue to point it out to people.
Hope your prairie in Wisconsin is doing very well--thriving as you are.

I'm interested to know what you learned from the class - and what you found in the gardens. Put up a list! I'd like to see which species are around now that we have all the prairie plants blooming.

What exciting progress! There's going to be a OLLI class on butterflies here at Coffman this Thursday. Janie O'Connor is the presenter. I'm going to invite the attendees out to see both the prairie garden and the rain garden after the class. It's great that there's a path that they can follow. We'll also spy on the American Ladies on the Pussytoes that Julie Burke and I planted last year.

Your photos are lovely. May I use a few in a presentation on members of the Aster family for a non-profit group? If you will allow it, how should I credit you? Thank you, Katy

I'm looking forward to the spring too - it will be fun to see what comes up. And it should change each year.

It's only one month since you posted these pictures! It will be such fun to see what Spring growth brings. I will be in CA from March 8 - 19 but will be here for the official first day of Spring and all growing days after that. Thank you for this gift. Many persons have ideas but they don't get carried out.

A friend who took 8 caterpillars informed me that none formed cocoons. ???? I have 3 and look forward to giving 2 of them to the 2 grandchildren.
